Critical Paths - Powering a New Generation
The nuclear industry has an important role to play in helping the world to meet its energy challenges. However, at present, young people seem to have limited knowledge of the nuclear industry and the vast range of job opportunities that it offers.
Developed by young people working in the nuclear sector, for school pupils (aged 11-14), Critical Paths is a set of electronic resources for use in schools by teachers and volunteers. The materials bring real-life issues relating to energy and the nuclear industry into the classroom through presentations, activities and homework challenges. Supported by the nuclear industry and tested in schools the resources are free to download from www.CriticalPathsUK.com. Each resource includes an introduction sheet enabling anyone to pick up and use the resources with ease.

 SUFFRAGETTE in cinemas now
The Suffragette film is now on general release and chronicles the struggle of the suffrage movement under the leadership of Emmeline Pankhurst (played by Meryl Streep). It's an important reminder of the great women who literally put their lives on the line to bring about equality.
Women did not successfully receive equal voting rights until 1928, some nine years after WES was formed in 1919. For a great reminder of a hugely important part of our British (and Women's) history, why not see Suffragette? See the trailer here
