The LAFD is working with the 95 neighborhood councils across the city and collecting feedback from neighborhood council board members, committees and stakeholders.

Representatives will discuss the upcoming Big Tujunga Canyon and Pacoima Sediment Removal. If you or your organization has a community announcement we encourage you to attend the meeting and speak during "public comments".

Sunland-Tujunga Branding Initiative: Realizing Our Full Potential

Everyone and everything has a brand. We either decide what that brand is or we let others decide it for us. Allowing the latter is dangerous for small business and for communities. Branding isn't limited to big companies. Branding is important for small business and maybe even more important for communities. A strong brand can bring a wealth of opportunities for a community, helping it define itself, present its value, and become a magnet to draw others (people, businesses, economic investment, government funding, etc.). And while full-blown branding initiatives can be extensive, time-consuming and costly (check out the town of Hardeeville in South Carolina - their branding initiative is costing them $20,000), there are ways to begin branding a community that don't require

The STNC works to improve the quality of life in Sunland-Tujunga.  We are advisory to the City of Los Angeles City Departments, Mayor and City Council.  From time to time we have a vacancy on the board of directors.  If you can volunteer to participate in monthly board meetings, join a committee and/or volunteer as you can, please contact the STNC secretary at secretary@stnc.org.  Current open seats:   Region 1 and 3.
