Greetings! This out-of-the-blue Jigsaw Business Weekly is to invite you to complete a very short survey (seven questions) about the newsletter. Here's why.
Several readers of the Weekly have said how much they miss their Thursday fix of business information. And I miss producing it! There are so many great articles out there about entrepreneurship, business and politics, social enterprise, the green economy. My fingers itch to send them to you.
When people tell me they miss the e-letter, I am pleased of course; I ask them why they liked it. The responses are similar:
"I'm too busy to read a lot so I like the way you present a digest of what's happening."
"I scan all of it. I don't necessarily read everything, but I feel like I'm keeping in touch with what's going on, and not just in the valley."
"You have a different viewpoint backed by reasons and information. That's important."
"I like to save it and read it on the weekend. There's usually at least one article that I'll click on for more information."
These are gratifying words that reflect what I had hoped to achieve with the Weekly. I write with you in mind - as if we're at a cocktail party having a stimulating discussion.
But a discussion requires two or more people engaging each other. In the last year, I came to want YOUR participation by way of financial support. I'd like to think that we're a team of learners and thinkers working together to expand a shared knowledge base.
To that end, I'm considering reinstating Jigsaw's Business Weekly on an affordable subscription basis - rougly $25/year. I'd like to make sure, however, that your needs are met if this happens. Specifically,
- Would you take a subscription?
- What information would you most like included?
- How frequently would you like to receive it?
- How much would you be willing to pay?
Those are the basic questions. I'm interested in a bit more guidance, however, and I implore you to click on the survey and complete the short questions. The deadline for completing it is Friday, February 15 at 5 pm. Shortly after that, I'll send you the results which will determine whether the Weekly is reinstated.
Meanwhile, if you need some proofreading, rewrite, or a third eye for feedback about your website, menu, brochure, or other, please visit QuickEdit at www.quickedit.me. It's a new business that I've recently started in conjunction with others whom you may know. We look forward to having you - and others you may refer to us - among our clients.* Thanks in advance for completing the survey.
Until Thursday, February 21...Jima Rice
