What happens when back stage becomes front stage? At her Bushwick Brooklyn studio, artist Mika Tajima discusses the processes and ideas behind her two installational-performative works Today is Not a Dress Rehearsal (2009) and The Pedestrians (2011).  
  
How can changing the context for a performance alter its meaning? In this film, artist Liz Magic Laser directs a group of actors performing theatrical scenes in public locations throughout New York City.

In December, we launched the "Failure" issue of the Art21 MagazineOur contributing writers explore the full spectrum of failure, from the artistic to the economic, the environmental to the architectural, the personal to the public.

Host an Art21 Screening
During the 100 Artists campaign, we want our materials in the hands of as many arts organizations and institutions as possible.

To date, Art21 has confirmed over 300 partners across the globe, spread over six continents. That's over 1,300 screenings spanning 49 states and 50 countries. Find a screening event near you.   

This month, we welcome new partners in South Dakota, France, and Venezuela. Registration to participate in Access 100 Artists ends December 31, 2013so sign up now if you want to host a screening event between January and June 2014. Visit Art21.org for information on how to host or attend a free Access 100 Artists screening.
