Make a gift to Art21 today | | Art21 has a tremendously rich archive of materials documenting artists' processes, and still, much from that archive has gone unpublished. With our year-long 100 Artists celebration, we are taking the opportunity to not only produce new resources from our archive, but also to catch up with our featured artists and produce new materials to add to our archive. Featured in this issue of Art21 News is an overview of new content released over the last month.
For educators, we are proud to announce the fifth year of the Art21 Educators program, and are now accepting applications. Read on to learn more about the program.
Our 100 Artists celebration is just getting started, and there will be plenty more activity to come throughout the year. We hope you will join us in the celebration!

Highlights from the Art21 Blog |
| | From Our Columns Jacquelyn Gleisner of New Kids on the Block interviewed "self-confessed storyteller, punk, image maker, and feminist" Angela Dufresne; Joe Fusaro of Teaching with Contemporary Art mused on print materials and the "lingering" of images; Carol Cheh of Word is a Virus raved about the first ever Los Angles Art Book Fair--"what felt like the hottest party of the year"; and Nettrice Gaskins of Art 2.1 wrote a thought-provoking four-part series on "New Frontier" at the Sundance Film Festival. |
| | Guest Blogger Art21's February blogger-in-residence, art critic and curator Alicia Eler, ambitiously profiled eight artists from across the United States and Canada. She took as her focus one excellent question: how does a residency change an artist's creative practice? From traditional U.S. residencies, to Fulbright fellowships abroad, to a reality television show for artists, she covered a range of experiences. Read her entire series of posts on the Art21 Blog. |

Art21 Translation Project: Bringing Artists' Words to Global Communities |
Art21 has partnered with non-profit Amara for a project to help spread the words and ideas of contemporary artists to communities around the world.
The Art21 Translation Project brings together a community of volunteers to help transcribe and translate Art21 videos, in turn helping inspire a more creative world through the works and words of contemporary artists. Through the efforts of the translation community, the words of artists become more accessible to audiences across languages, as well as to viewers who are deaf and hard of hearing.
Within the first week, the community has generated over 50 subtitles in over 10 languages, which, in addition to English, includes Italian, Indonesian, Romanian, Hebrew, and Turkish.
Please help Art21 bring the voices of 100 artists to global audiences by joining the Art21 Translation team on Amara.
