While city and grassroots efforts have made great strides toward improving NYC's food system, the work is far from over. Building on the momentum of the Mayoral Candidate Forum on the Future of Food in NYC, Food Systems Network urges you to educate yourself and vote for the mayor you think will lead us toward healthier, fairer, and more sustainable choices.

What is the Canarsie Health Revolution? Combine a seriousfood desert +some food savvy youth + and some mentors and benefactors and that's what fueled the 'Revolution ' in Canarsie. More specifically, the project focused on bodegas and small grocers and was energized by a group of Teen Battle Chefs and their HealthCorps Coordinator at South Shore HS.
