WOW!! What a storm!

Due to the high winds, rain, flooding, and Tornado warnings and watches, we cancelled services last Wednesday.  I regret any time that we have to take such steps because I look forward to every opportunity we have to get together.  But, safety is so important.  Winds were high, tornadoes were spotted, and we did lose power at the church.  It was the right call!

I am looking forward to resuming our ongoing study, discussion, and prayer concerning "The Christian and Politics"  on Wednesdays.  Please join us for a great time!

CONNECTING WITH DURHAM'S HOMELESS AND DISADVANTAGED

Are you looking for a meaningful way to Connect with those in need this Easter?  Then join us in helping the Durham Rescue Mission prepare 1500 Easter Baskets that will be handed out to children of need at their annual Easter Celebration.

This is a tremendous opportunity to partner with an organization that has a history of helping the poor in the Durham area both physically and spiritually.  Between their Thanksgiving and Christmas outreaches they had over 120 salvations, served over 2500 meals and presented to gospel to over 3800 individuals!

The 3:20 Connect Group is collecting items that we will use to assemble Easter baskets for children 12 and under.   We are looking for individuals or Connect Groups to collect individually wrapped candies, chocolate bunnies, children tooth brushes and toothpaste, and small baskets over the next four weeks.  Donated items can be place in Room 501.    We will then assemble these items into baskets and deliver them to the Durham Rescue Mission.

Any questions????  Contact Janine Guadagno at 919-724-9917 or stonehouserj@gmail.com (Janine is our church's DRM ambassador)

Our AWANA Clubs are partnering with Stop Hunger Now to help end hunger around the world. On Wednesday, March 23, the AWANA clubbers will participate in a Stop Hunger Now Event where they will package 10,150+ meals. Not only are we packaging the food, but we are also paying for all of the food and supplies. In order to reach our goal of 10,150+ meals, we have to raise $2,944.08. To learn more about Stop Hunger Now, our packaging event, or to donate toward our event, click HERE
