As most of you know, I've recently launched a new Foundation called Le Cadeau de Mado in memory of my sister, Madeleine, who died of leukemia at the age of five. The focus of my new Foundation is to raise funds to help children with cancer and other life threatening diseases.
I'm extremely happy to announce our first big project. I never got the chance to meet my sister but I know she really loved Christmas. Most children living with cancer don't typically get to enjoy Christmas like we all do. A child living with cancer needs to take treatments for a few years, which is usually done outside of their hometown. Therefore, there's a heavy financial burden on those families; a burden that often stops them from buying gifts for Christmas or other occasions.
We found ten children with cancer and we are going to go out, buy them some Christmas gifts, and deliver them in person. I'm so excited about this project.
We have raised a little over $2,300 for the foundation since its inception back in September. With the idea of helping ten children, we needed to get more funds to make this project a reality.
I've reached out to a good client of mine, and real estate agent, Phil Albert . It didn't take long for him and his group (CREATIV Team) to step up to the plate and put $1,200 on the table to make this project a successful one. With the help of The CREATIV Team, those ten families will have a better Christmas. Thank you so much to Phil Albert, Mylène Albert, Trent Wilkins, Pierre Nadeau, Chris Theriault and Shane MacPherson.
Each child that we will sponsor this year has given us a wish list to make this process a little bit easier. If anyone would like to contribute and buy some of the gifts from the list, please drop me an email so we can chat about it. Everything counts!
Have some fabulous holidays,
