As this year comes to a close, we want to say a big thank you to our volunteers, donors, and teachers who have helped our organization reach as many Maine students as possible through our classroom programs, job shadows and fundraising events. We couldn't do it without you!

Looking to the New Year, we have many classes across the State looking for volunteers. Become a JA volunteer!  

In February we have JA's biggest high school event, JA's Titan Challenge, scheduled for Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at college campuses throughout the State. So far we have 26 high schools signed up, which is our largest Titan to date. We are in need of business mentors, so if you would like to volunteer at the event, please contact Michelle .

Teachers, if you have not signed up for a JA program yet,  please get your class requests in.

Free to enter, the JA Titan Challenge is open to all Maine High Schools! Using JA's high school simulation program, Titan Challenge places high school students in the CEO's seat and increases their understanding of the real world of business.  Young entrepreneurs are taught in an engaging way about the nuances of running a business in a competitive, high-tech global marketplace.

Through several rounds of competition, students are given complete control to manage and operate their own virtual business.  Success depends on how well they manage their company's key decisions. Companies (teams) are challenged to outperform the competition in profit, sales, and market share. This Business Challenge provides an experience a traditional classroom can't duplicate.

Each 3-student team is placed with a business mentor from the business community who is there to guide the team in decision making as they work to produce a virtual product.

Students and mentors are provided with lunch and get to tour hthe college campus.
