Greetings!
Children and animals are the two most intuitive creatures we have on earth. Unlike animals, children can eventually out grow their intuitive nature. Animals, on the other hand, remain intuitive throughout their lifetime. Animals are such wise teachers. I tell people, "If your pet doesn't like someone, there is a reason. Pay attention to it". Animals are a gift to us and the greatest of friends. Many people tell me they like their animals more than people. I understand that because animals are about unconditional love something the human race has yet to master. So for all they do for us, let's celebrate the animals!
Animals play an important role in shamanic and indigenous cultures. These ancient cultures believe in Totem Animals or Power Animals and that the collective energy or spirit of an animal resides within each of us. I met my power animal, which happened to be a "Rabbit", years ago in a Spirit Guide meditation. After the meditation, I read the message "If Rabbit is your Power Animal" and the characteristics of the Rabbit reflect my personality to a tee.
It has been documented that pets can improve your health. People who have pets are more likely to live longer and have healthier lives. Your body's heart rate and blood pressure are improved. Our fury friends reduced our stress levels. Of course, it's hard when we loose a member of our animal family. However, it should make you feel good to know that in Mediumship Readings, pets do come though and communicate with their loved ones still on earth. I have seen cats, dogs, horses and even birds all waiting to be reunited with their beloved owners someday.
Bottom line, animals play and important role in our spiritual, physical, and emotional well being. So let's celebrate the animals!
If you are considering adopting an animal or would like to volunteer visit Butte Humane Society. Tell them Karma sent you. If you would like to support animals, there is a wonderful Gala coming up on April 13th, where you can join Butte Humane Society in celebrating 102 years of helping animals.
Blessings,
