Greetings!
One thing our culture does not take seriously enough is the full Moon. All human beings and especially women should track its cycle. We have not been taught how our bodies are effected by the Moon's cycle. In the fourteenth century, a person under the influence of the moon was dubbed a Lunatic. Luna a Latin word meaning Moon lends to the word Lunatic meaning: to be suffering from lunacy, moonstruck or to go insane. In our modern society, I see the insanity surrounding the full Moon every month. I witness it in my business as well as my personal life. That is why I recommend you start paying attention to when the Moon full.
The reason human beings are effected by the gravitational pull of the full Moon is because of the water in our bodies. We are made up of eighty percent water and like the ocean, we have salt water or saline in our bodies. As a result, we experience the gravitational pull of the full Moon just like the tides. The full Moon's force pulls the salt water down in our bodies and away from our head leaving our brain dry docked. The resulting behavior gave birth to the word Lunacy. I have been told the best defense during a full Moon is to drink a lot of water. Hydrate your body and brain!
During a full moon, you are more likely to yell at your co worker, fight with your spouse or loose it over something random. Don't feel bad. We can't help it; we are human. It's just lunacy! Many people have trouble sleeping around the full Moon and find themselves awake most of the night tossing and turning; their brain torturing them with random thoughts.
I learned from my naturopath, that a woman's true natural menstrual cycle is to ovulate with a full Moon and menstruate with the new Moon. Few women today are in proper sync with the Moon's cycle. So, if you are one who menstruates around the full Moon and suffer from PMS; it's double the trouble and sheer lunacy can occur.
Regardless of your gender or age, no one is immune to the Moon's cycle. Not all full Moons have the same impact on us each month. Some come and go beautifully and gracefully and pass without incident. Others are like a tidal wave that leaves Tsunami like destruction in its wake. Your best defense is to track when the full Moon occurs and be prepared for it. Be especially gentle and kind to your self during it's presence, drink plenty of water and enjoy the ride. Heads up! Next full Moon is February 25, 2013. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Blessings,
