Skinny Skis & Fat Tires? A fun new race on March 10!

A special duathlon for those of you that love to Nordic ski and ride a fat tire bike! Save the date March 10 for the First Annual Fat/Skinny Duathlon.
Skiing on a bike

Details? Still being developed, but look for a 10km ski (mass start) at Kincaid, transition (or relay) in the biathlon range to a fat tire bike and a 10K ride on multi-use and single track trails.

No bike? No problem! We will have vendors with bikes to rent for the day. Be beware, rumor has it these fat bikes are very addicting... you may have a need to buy one after the race!

Watch the website for more details. Can you help? EMAIL Raye Ann if you can volunteer for this event.

3rd Annual SKAN 24, Mar 23-24 - it's your year to try it!

So many options!SKAN24
  • solo, duo, 4- or 8-person teams
  • 6-hour, 12-hour or 24-hour race lengths
  • 6-hour race for the youngsters (ages 6-14, 4-person teams)
  • 6-hour night owl race for those that want to ski at night only
SKAN isn't just about skiing for a ridiculously long time... it's about hanging out with friends, family and fellow competitors, it's about camaraderie and competition, testing the limits of your body (and mind), having a whole ton of fun eating BBQ & waffles, winning raffle prizes (raffle every three hours on the hour, all night long!), hanging out in the warming tents, and enjoying fabulous springtime skiing.  Not to mention the dance parties in the wax bunker, cheering for your fellow racers, skiing one-way trails the wrong way, and having something to look forward to every time you enter the stadium after a lap.

Come play with us this year!
All races start Saturday at noon and end after 6, 12 or 24 hours. The 6-hour night owl race starts at midnight and ends 6am Sunday morning.
