Daniel Hutchinson
Daniel Hutchinson began reading the books of Master Ni at a young age, and they inspired him to seek out and eventually to enter the program at Yo San University. Daniel has a background in music and psychology. He has experience working in a Western medical office located in Harlem, New York. He also has experience working in an herbal remedies department in Georgia, where he began as an apprentice and eventually made his way to the manager position. Daniel's father is a pediatrician with his own practice, and Daniel hopes to create similar footsteps by opening his own TCM healing center and herbal company.

Greetings!
Hooray, we have been blessed with another year completed, and inspired to embark on the wonders of what 2014 has to offer. This is the time to dream big, set attainable goals and thrive! It excites me so the thrill of rejuvenation, new beginnings, or the idea of a fresh start. In life I am sure there are many times we wish we can just start over. Well, in theory January is that time. Get started on a regular cleanse, hit the gym and stir up those endorphins, hike the many trails Los Angeles actually has to offer; find your sweet spot. Commit to yourself because ultimately the better you are to yourself will enable you to be more beneficial to the loved ones that encompass you.
In traditional Chinese medicine it is taught to be the medicine you prescribe to your patients, which empowers each individual to be the change they want to see spiritually, in life, in relationships or the greater world. The beginning of the year is full of energy and know how, so fellow Yo Sanners, let's take 2014 by the reins and charge ahead!!

Golden Path Alchemy

Yo San University alum, Ashley Beckman Murray & Minka Robinson Stevens started Golden Path Alchemy in August 2007 because they wanted to create a product in which the ingredients were pure, made with intention and care, and reflected a quality and freshness that were not yet found in other products.
Ashley and Minka went on a quest for increased vitality and a healthier lifestyle. Little did they know that many of the personal care products they had been using for years were full of toxic chemicals and minimal nutrients. They were shocked to find out that the product lines they trusted and used did not disclose toxic chemicals found in their products and/or they made chemicals appear natural by saying it was derived from a natural source. As they began researching they found out that many of these chemicals were known carcinogens, xenoestrogens and contributed to infertility and birth defects. They were at a loss.
Tired of trying to decipher ingredient labels of products they delved further into the studies of Chinese medicine and herbal formulations they created for themselves that were balanced, nourishing and effective. Murray and Robinson were used to incorporating medicinal herbs into their daily lifestyle through cooking, teas and supplementation and they realized that they could infuse these medicinals into another aspect of their daily life - their skin care. Consciously they began to blend together traditions of the East and West using Chinese and western herbs, flower essences, gem elixirs and aromatherapy to create a HOLISTIC, HANDCRAFTED APOTHECARY.
The hope is to educate and change the market while getting rid- of the chemical burden in people's bodies. As both Ashley and Murray are new mommas, they have been expanding their line of organic beauty in organic baby products and post partum products, also special blends for headaches and pain. By creating awareness as they go, Ashley and Minka state, "We do not eat synthetic preservatives so why would we want them on our skin, the most effective delivery system in the body. Our daily skincare routine is a process that should be revitalizing and nourishing instead of creating a toxic overload." Synthetic chemicals are not necessary for preserving products.
Please explore more at http://www.goldenpathalchemy.com/. In addition they offer wholesale for practitioners and special aromatherapy sprays that are good to use during treatments and at clinics.

Tao of Wellness Intensive Cleansing Detox Retreat

Cleansing Creates Well-Being
Our body is automatically programmed to cleanse itself daily. However, with our fast-paced modern lifestyle and exposure to an increasing number of harmful and toxic substances, our bodies' natural cleansing ability has become overworked and compromised.
Many signs and symptoms attributed to stress are now being linked to early signs of exposure to harmful substances such as PCBs, pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, growth hormones, and mercury in food and liquids as well as dioxins and formaldehyde in the air.
These substances most notably affect the healthy functioning of the liver and immune system. Common symptoms of dysfunction in these systems include:
- Fatigue, anxiety and depression
- Allergies and frequent infections
- Unexplained weight gain and difficulty losing or gaining weight
- Joint pain and muscle weakness
- Difficulty focusing and memory loss
- Indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, gas and/or abdominal bloating
- Skin rashes, skin eruptions and/or acne
- Recurrent yeast/fungal infections
- Rapid aging
Harmful and toxic substances from our chemically-laden food and polluted environment have also become implicated as a leading cause of many serious illnesses such as cancer, degenerative diseases, infertility, birth defects and genetic changes.
To counter this growing situation, the doctors at Tao of Wellness have developed a Cleansing and Detoxification Program that is unique and highly useful in ridding the body of many harmful and toxic substances.
"An amazing experience...I am looking forward to experiencing the lasting effects over the coming weeks and months."
In designing the detox program, the doctors have drawn upon the centuries-old Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles to solve a modern problem. The detox program combines selected TCM techniques that work together synergistically such as: acupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, far-infrared sauna, tuina bodywork and qi gong.
"Such a great weekend. The staff were so wonderful, and everything was so well organized. I felt at home here. Thank you for all the great attention."
