The Iowa State College of Engineering is passionate about educating our future engineering leaders... conducting research to address our greatest challenges... using technology to make a difference... celebrating diversity of thought and culture... and creating solutions to make Iowa and the world a better place. Some recent highlights include:
  • Fall 2015 record enrollment of 9,312 students - a 34% increase over the last five years.
  • 95% placement rate six months after graduation with average starting salary of $62,000.
  • Assisted 1,548 Iowa businesses generating an economic impact of $386 million and 5,154 jobs added or retained.
  • Provide K-12 STEM outreach and training programs across Iowa.
  • 366 companies attended the fall engineering career fair recruiting a record 6,709 Iowa State students; and conducted more than 2,000 on-campus interviews following the event.
  • Team PrISUm earned its first ever overall win at the Formula Sun Grand Prix (solar car race).
  • A talented team of engineering, business, and liberal arts and sciences students recently won the National Cyber Analyst Challenge.
