When state legislators started session back in January, they were presented with a plan by the Board of Regents to freeze tuition for Iowa's public universities. With the help from supporters of Iowa State University, this initiative was approved. This year undergraduate resident students will not experience an increase in tuition for the first time in over 30 years!
Let's thank our senators and representatives for their devotion in maintaining affordable education for students. Send a message to your local legislator to show them your appreciation for their hard work this year!
In addition to funding the tuition freeze, the Iowa General Assembly provided support to the emerging bioeconomy, the ISU Research Park, ISU Extension and Outreach, and other initiatives that will make a difference to Iowans, small businesses and entreprenuers.
