Alliance for Iowa State
-Make Your Voice Heard-

Hello friends of Iowa State University,

This week we are highlighting student success at Iowa State! Providing a superior education to our students is part of Iowa State's land-grant mission, and supporting those students is a priority among our educators.

In order for students to be successful, we place a high value on:

  • Job Ready Education- Course work directly relates job skills and knowledge; practical work experiences; service learning; taught by the best faculty.
  • Partnerships with Community Colleges and K-12- Common expectations to reduce remediation and smoothens the transition to Iowa State; early career exploration for students and parents to realize career potential.
  • I
  • The University Experience- Nationally recognized learning communities; leadership roles across campus (over 800 clubs and organizations allows for more leadership opportunities than other universities); award-winning entrepreneurial education programs.

Iowa State has one of the largest and most successful career fairs in the nation. The placement rate for jobs or continuing education six months after graduation is 90% despite the economic recession. Currently, more than 88,000 Iowa State graduates reside in Iowa.

Did you know? 68% of Iowa State undergraduates are Iowans, and more Iowa State graduates live in the state of Iowa than graduates from any other university.
