Vacation Bible School

The theme for this year's VBS is "Cave Quest: Following Jesus, the Light of the World."  For more information click here.

To sign up online: Click here for instructions and links to the registration form and online payment.

Friday, July 29 we will be decorating for Cave Quest VBS. This will be an all day event, starting at 10:00 am and wrapping up when the job is done. Come and help as much as you are able. Paint splatter is possible, so please dress appropriately. Please let Kari Varns ([email protected]) or Ashleigh Altemann ([email protected]) know if you are able to assist.
Also, if you have any cave making materials (cardboard, foam, spray foam insulation, paint, cardboard tubes, dark fabric....anything thing you see cave potential in) bring them with or drop them off in Room 4 (the room just outside the office area).

We need lots of empty rolls from your paper towels, toilet paper, or gift wrap. Please save and place in the receptacle located in the narthex.

Small Groups will return!

We had a great start to the Small Groups Ministry at St. John. We started during Lent and had about 80 people step forward to try out, and be blessed by this new ministry. We had the opportunity to get to know each other better and make deeper connections with our church brothers and sisters. We also grew spiritually!

Small Groups are taking the summer off, but will return in the fall.  For more information, click here.

Please see Kevin O'Brien, Pam Shapiro or Janice Locke if you have suggestions, questions or comments.
Pastor Bill and Pastor Lauren
will be Gone!
July 11 through August 10
Pastor Lauren will be on sabbatical July 11 through October 10, and Pastor Bill will be taking his vacation to be with her and the kids on a family road trip from July 11 through August 10.

In their absence, worship, ministries and other activities will proceed as usual. Marge will take over preaching duties, except on July 17 when we have a special treat: Bishop Donald Kreiss will come and preach for us.

Please contact the following people if you have questions or concerns:
