CATALINA BOULEVARD EMERGENCY PIPELINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
Dear Stakeholder,   
     You are subscribed to receive construction updates on the Catalina Boulevard Emergency Pipeline Replacement Project. This project will take place in the Point Loma area on Catalina Boulevard from Tennyson Street to the northeast end of Catalina Boulevard.
HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING:
As a part of the Capital Improvements Program (CIP) project to replace the water mains in your community, a water service outage will take place in the areas listed below on the day and during the hours mentioned.
WATER SERVICE WILL BE TURNED OFF ON TUESDAY, NOV. 29, BETWEEN 8 A.M. AND 5 P.M.
  • Whittier Street between Catalina Boulevard and the cul-de-sac east of Famosa Boulevard


WHAT TO EXPECT:

During construction, anticipate temporary inconveniences. Please exercise caution in the work zone and note that: 
  • Speed will be reduced in the construction zone.
  • Safety measures will be implemented to ensure bicyclists and pedestrians will be allowed access throughout construction.
  • Access to homes, businesses and for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
  • "No Parking" signs will be posted 48 hours in advance of work. Cars parked in violation of sign will be towed.
  • Pipe, fittings, equipment and storage containers will be staged on side streets.
  • Road closures detours and restricted access will be implemented during work hours.

NORMAL HOURS AND DAYS OF OPERATION:
Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
* Schedule and work hours may vary based on traffic impacts.
