You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to receive construction updates on the Avenida De La Playa Infrastructure Replacement Project and Sewer and Water Group Job 809.
  

The installaton of deep sewer laterals on Avenida De La Playa between Calle De La Plata and El Paseo Grande is nearly complete. Six of the nine laterals are installed. This work will continue into next week and may be delayed by rain that is predicted for Monday and Tuesday. This will push back the start date of the 24-hour closure of Avenida De La Playa.

 

Beginning March 9, Phase 1 work on Avenida De La Playa will begin. Avenida De La Playa between El Paseo Grande and Paseo del Ocaso will be closed 24-hours a day for four weeks. The closure could be extended if more construction days are lost to rain. Please note that during the 24-hour closure period the sidewalks will remain open so access to the businesses is maintained. In addition, four "Businesses are Open During Construction" signs will be placed in key high-traffic areas.

 

For Phase 2, 24-hour closure for Avenida De La Playa will be between Paseo del Ocaso and La Jolla Shores Drive. This was scheduled to occur between March 30 and April 17 but will likely be adjusted due to the current sewer lateral installation. Also, rain will affect the construction schedule. You willl continue to be updated by email as to the project's progress.

Every provision will be taken to quickly and efficiently complete the work. We will do our best to minimize any further inconveniences and we thank you for your understanding.
