You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to receive construction updates on the Avenida De La Playa Infrastructure Replacement Project and Sewer and Water Group Job 809.
The contractor, HPS Mechanical, has crews working in several locations doing sewer and water line installation.
Sewer crew # 1 is on Avenida De La Playa installing the new deep sewer lateral connections. This work will continue until February 27. Once the laterals on ADLP are complete this crew will begin work on Phase 1: Avenida De La Playa between El Paseo Grande and Paseo Del Ocaso. Upon completion of Phase 1, the crew will begin Phase 2 sewer work on Avenida De La Playa between Paseo Del Ocaso and La Jolla Shores Drive.
Sewer crew # 2 will work on Camino Del Oro where they will install laterals on Camino del Oro from Avenida De La Playa to Vallecitos.
Sewer crew # 3 will continue on Camino Del Oro mainline piping. This will continue north just past Calle Frescota.
Water main installation also continues as well. This work is taking place on El Paseo Grande. Cut and caps are being scheduled for connections at El Paseo Grande and Vallecitos, Calle Frescota and Avenida De La Ribera. Once the date and times are scheduled, affected properties will receive door hanger notice of water service interruption.
Beginning March 2, Phase 1 work on Avenida De La Playa will begin. Avenida De La Playa between El Paseo Grande and Paseo del Ocaso will be closed 24-hours a day through March 27. The closure could be extended if construction days are lost to rain. Please note that during the 24-hour closure period the sidewalks will remain open so access to the businesses is maintained. In addition, four "Businesses are Open During Construction" signs will be placed in key high-traffic areas.
For Phase 2, 24-hour closure for Avenida De La Playa will be between Paseo del Ocaso and La Jolla Shores Drive. This is scheduled to occur between March 30 and April 17. Again, weather could affect both the beginning and end dates.
