Avenida De La Playa Infrastructure Replacement Project &
Sewer and Water Group 809

You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to receive construction updates on the Avenida De La Playa Infrastructure Replacement Project and Sewer and Water Group Job 809.

This notice is to inform you that on Monday, November 24 from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Tuesday, water service to the following areas may be temporarily turned off:

  • 7900-8099 Calle De La Plata
  • 2100-2299 Avenida De La Playa
  • 7900-8099 Paseo Del Ocaso
  • 7900-8299 El Paseo Grande
  • 7900-8499 La Jolla Shores Dr.
  • 8100 -8199 Camino Del Sol
  • 8100 - 8199 Avenida De La Ribera
  • 2100 -2199 Vallecitos
  • 2066 Torrey Pines Rd.

The water shutoff is part of the work to install a new water pipeline on Avenida De La Playa. During the shutoff:
  • Water service may be sporadic; plan accordingly.
  • Access to homes and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
  • Construction crews will work as quickly as possible to restore your water service.

How your neighborhood may be impacted:

  • No parking inside working areas during working hours
  • Temporary road closures, traffic rerouting, parking and access restrictions during hours of operation

We understand that the work performed overnight on Avenida De La Playa this past week was loud and intrusive. The work planned for Monday evening, November 24, is unavoidable. However, the majority of the noisy work will be completed during the day on Monday. A crew will come in at night and complete the water main work which will include some noise, but it will not be as intrusive as the night work done earlier this week.

The water shutdowns are performed at night because peak water usage typically occurs during the day and early evening hours. This work will be performed during the lowest water usage time frame so as to minimize the adverse impact to residents and businesses.

Every provision will be taken to quickly and efficiently complete the work. We will do our best to minimize any further inconveniences and we thank you for your understanding.
