This notice is to inform you that night work on Avenida De La Playa is necessary to more quickly complete the installation of the new sewer and water main pipelines.
A Night Work Permit has been approved for five nights per week: Sunday nights to Friday mornings from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. and will begin Sun. Nov 16.
The work will take place on Avenida De La Playa from Calle De La Plata to 75 feet east of El Paseo Grande. Weather permitting, this phase of the project will take at least 12 weeks to complete.
This phase includes: installation of deep sewer line and installation of an 8-inch water line along with lateral connections.
Temporary road closures, traffic rerouting, parking and other access restrictions will occur during the construction hours.
The night work permit issued by the City of San Diego acknowledges the following noise will be generated by the construction:
- Saw cutting
- Concrete demolition
- Excavation
- Concrete manhole replacement
- Trucking
