Dear Stakeholder

You are subscribed to received construction updates on the Avenida De La Playa Infrastructure Replacement Project and Sewer and Water Group Job 809

Avenida De La Playa Infrastructure Replacement

Replacement of the culvert boxes, water and sewer mains will resume on Monday, September 8. In order to block the area for construction, fencing will be installed from 98 feet west of Camino Del Sol to just west of the Calle De La Plata intersection.   Vehicle traffic will be rerouted and pedestrians will have access to the sidewalk on the north side of Avenida De La Playa.

The City's traffic control regulations require that "No Parking" signs be posted 48 hours ahead of establishing a "No Parking" zone.  Those signs are now in place and towing will be enforced beginning Sept. 8.  Construction hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Sewer and Water Group 809

Beginning Sunday, September 7 work will begin at 1869 North Torrey Pines Road.  This work includes the digging of a pit and archeological exploration. Due to the traffic conditions, the work will take place at night and into the morning.  All residents within a 500 foot radius of the work have been notified. The work will only take place Sunday through Thursday nights from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. and will be completed on September 21.

Replacement of the existing water main on Paseo Del Ocaso from El Paseo Grande to Avenida De La Playa is now taking place. The area is now being sawcut and trenching will soon follow.  Water service during construction will be provided by a 2-inch highline pipe that will run along the curb. Please be cautious when parking along the curb.

Replacement of the existing sewer main and manhole rehabilitation is taking place near Paseo Del Ocaso and Vallecitos.

Every provision will be taken to quickly and efficiently complete the work. We will do our best to minimize any further inconveniences and we thank you for your understanding.
