#EducateOurMen is the signature educational initiative of Hip Hop Sisters Foundation that aims to support and develop African-American males by providing academic scholarships to obtain baccalaureate degrees primarily from HBCU's; provide access to career and personal mentoring; increase cultural education and social responsibility.


 

Each year since it's inception, Hip Hop Sisters Foundation has presented two &100,000 scholarships during the Soul Train Music Awards.  This year, our goal is to present a dozen or more full academic need-based scholarships.  Click Here for More Details.

The premiere of MC Lyte's new track, "Dear
John" f/ Common (the first release from Lyte's upcoming LP, her first studio album in eleven years, which is slated to be released later this year) triggered the official unveiling of #EDUCATEOURMEN.  "Dear John" is a fresh track with a strong urban hip-hop vibe, that will also be featured in Lyte's upcoming episode of "Being," which will air on Saturday, September 13, 2014 on Centric, 9pm est / 8c.  Immediately after the episode, MC Lyte will participate in a live streamed Q&A for fans and media worldwide who should register at www.mclyte.com to view or participate.
