Make Yourself Food Independent
We can no longer count on our nation's farmers to feed us. Much as they would like to, our farmers are as much at the mercy of the weather as we are. That's why you need to grow your own vegetables, herbs and medicinal plants. Heaven forbid that there should be a run on the stores, and you find yourself left empty-handed.
Now that you're already beginning to picture a vegetable garden in your yard this year, we'd like you to seriously consider two things:
- The best way to use the precious land you have, whether it's acreage, a small yard or even a patio
- The quality of seeds you're going to purchase.

You Can Have a Vegetable Garden
Let's address the first point. No matter where you live, whether an apartment, a house on a small lot or a sprawling home on acreage, you can have a vegetable garden. Many people do container gardening, and many vegetables can be easily grown in containers, including potatoes, tomatoes, beans, zucchini, lettuce, carrots, radishes, etc. Consider your space, and realize that many vegetable plants are high-yielding, such as zucchinis, so you may only need one plant.
Above all, don't think for a moment that you don't have enough space for a vegetable garden. If you have a space that receives 5-6 hours of sunlight, you can have a vegetable garden.

Don't Settle For Unnatural Seeds
Now, let's address the second point. Many of the seeds sold today are hybrids or GMOs (genetically modified). Neither type of seed is a natural kind of seed, and therefore won't produce "true" in the next generation because it is not from a "pure line" of seed. In fact, it's hard to know what they will produce. And we all know that when things are "modified," the health benefits are usually compromised.
That's why people who care about their health turn to heirloom seeds-seeds that have reproduced from pure lines of vegetables-for their vegetable gardens. With these seeds, they know that not only are they getting vegetables that are robust and full of all the nutrients nature intended, but they can also harvest seeds from the vegetables, and continue to get the same wonderful plants, generation after generation.
This is why you should purchase My Patriot Supply's heirloom seeds, either in individual packets, or our best value, our Survival Seed Vault, which contains:
