Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12: 12
September 25, 2015
Dear North Community Catholic School Families:
Today your children will bring home their midterm progress reports. All of the subjects are listed on a single sheet. Please sign and return those to the homeroom teacher. Remember that you do have access every day via our Ascend SMS program online. If you have questions regarding access to Ascend you may email me at bstrbik@nccstoledo.org.
The autumn season is upon us. Temperatures are falling, and we need our jackets in the mornings now. We do have jackets and fleeces that are being left outside. If your child is missing one, you may wish to check in the bin in the office. Many of them don't have names in them. We strongly recommend labeling all sweaters and fleeces. Please be advised that the NCCS handbook states that shorts can only be worn until September 30. That means that our students should be either in pants or skirts/jumpers beginning Thursday, October 1. Shorts return to the dress code on May 1.
I hope you will consider attending our Parents' Association Meet and Greet tonight. We have an active parent group, and if you have never attended one of their events, I would encourage you to do so. More information appears later in this newsletter.
Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy these nice Autumn Days!
Peace and Blessings,
Mrs. Beth Strbik
Principal

Box Tops for Education Contest
| |
Are you looking for an easy way to help support the school? Download the attached form and simply start collecting boxtops from now until September 20th. Each class will be competing to see who can bring in the most boxtops and the class with the most will win a prize! Simply attach each boxtop to a square on the sheet and turn them in as you fill them up or all at once. A sheet does not have to be full to be turned in, but multiple sheets can also be turned in. Just be sure to put your child's teacher's name on it so that class gets credit! Bonus boxtops that do not fit on the sheet can be submitted separately as well for class credit. Click here for a copy of the contest sheet. Service hours are available for help with trimming and preparing the box tops. Please send any questions to kacietraver@gmail.com.
