"Working women directors are very few and far between, and so the fact that I also use a wheelchair just added another hurdle. I started my own production company and created my own projects so that I could hire myself. Sometimes you have to make your own opportunities. Filmmaking and storytelling are like breathing to me. It's something I have to do."

Meet Vija Udenans, MMG's new Director of Managed Services & Staffing.
Vija Udenans bring a wealth of operations, production, and finance experience in the media world to MMG. She was a producer for ABC NEWS covering the White House for 16 years in Washington and six continents with Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. She was the Director of Operations for the ABC News Washington Bureau, and held several other positions with the news network. Vija directed the operations of the National Press Club studios for several years, and worked to upgrade their facilities to HD. Before coming to MMG, she spent the summer teaching broadcasting at Georgetown University. Vija graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in TV& Radio, and worked on her MBA at New York University. She has attended school in England and Germany. Vija will tell you 10 cactus plants have survived at home while she traveled endlessly, and two cats meet her at the door when she returns.
Meet Anna Sokol, MMG's new
Talent Acquisition Manager.
Anna Sokol brings 30 years of experience as an Operations / Logistics Manager in the E.N.G. (Electronic News Gathering) Department at ABC News. She planned everything from simple cover footage to Inaugurations. Getting the job done in the best, yet still economical way, is paramount to Anna. Her proudest accomplishments include having Boston's Logan Airport opened up on a Sunday (back when everything was closed on Sunday), to have gear retrieved and shipped to Canada for an evening Presidential event. Also, getting a replacement camera to a crew in Cuba in under 5 hours from start to finish. Anna has also enjoyed spending five years on and off the road with the rock band Rush as a photographer! She also loves Baseball and Television, and is excited to be a part of MMG!
Meet Kevin Hollander, MMG's new Executive Assistant & Marketing Coordinator
Kevin Hollander is a recent graduate from the University of Maryland - College Park where he recently earned a double degree in marketing and psychology. He was selected as a Design and Innovation in Marketing Fellow where he learned to use creative means to solve complex business problems. He prides himself as a humanitarian and a leader in his community. In his spare time he enjoys graphic design and yoga and finding new secret dining spots in the District!

Mary Jane Boyle, Production Manager, has more than 25 years of network news production and operations experience at ABC News in Washington, DC and has been with MMG for 6 years!
Mary Jane held such positions as Film Supervisor, Assistant Manager of Production Services, Manager of Library Information Services and Assistant Director of ENG (electronic news gathering). As the Assistant Director, she spearheaded the department responsible for hiring, logistical support and scheduling of a 40 member union staff and all freelance camera crews hired for broadcasts in Washington DC.
At the Maslow Media Group, Mary Jane is responsible for booking field and studio crews, vendor management, production budgeting, production management as well as contract management and contract employee supervision.
