On the heels of our highly successful April, 2013 fundraiser at the Fireplace Lounge in Youngstown, OH, we're well into plans for a 2014 spring follow-up.
Our original fundraiser featured original members of local/regional soul bands of the 1960s; next year's event will feature original members of the area's earliest rock bands - The Executioners, The Human Beingz, The Pied Pipers & The Holes in the Road. We already have a number of "special guests" who have agreed to attend as well.
We're scheduled for Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2014 at the Fireplace Lounge once again. Watch for more information about this gala event in the coming months!

Greetings!
We couldn't let the year draw to a close without visiting one last time to update you on our fall happenings. Please take a moment to catch up with us!

Los Angeles, CA & Youngstown, OH
All is well at our four current CBC projects.
Using the TRAP program curriculum, we're in our third year of work at Lanterman High School in Los Angeles and our second year at the Rich Center for Autism in Youngstown. In addition, we've had a highly successful start-up this fall at the Fairhaven School in Niles, Ohio. Classes at all locations have progressed nicely, and the students are excited for holiday recitals that will take place soon. |

| At our fourth location, Vista Del Mar in Los Angeles, we are well into our first full year using the Contemporary Urban Percussion (CUP) curriculum. | CUP Class at Vista | |

We have hosted several visits of funders and friends to the classes this fall. Most of our success with these projects is attributable to our project teachers and the site administrators. We wish to thank all involved for their dedication and enthusiasm!

Just like a great album about to be released, our BRAND NEW CreativeBridge website is coming soon! With a fully reformatted design and gorgeous layout, it will be a masterpiece. Trust us, we're musicians!
This update is a collaboration between the talented folks at the Clearpoint Agency ( Clearpoint), our website programmer, Dragos Bogdan ( Spicy Leaf), and our peerless designer, Sandie Bero ( Molo Creative). Get ready, the new site drops January 2014! |
HOW TIME FLIES...........
|
We're winding up a productive year of collaboration with the Clearpoint Agency, a southern California Public Relations firm that selected CBC for a year's worth of pro bono service (Clearpoint). Our relationship with Clearpoint has been a good one, and we've learned and grown a great deal as a result. Our final project together involves the complete re-design of our CBC website mentioned above. Big thanks to Beth, Antonia, Ryan & Rachel for your talent and generosity. We are forever grateful!

CBC WAS ON TV & IN THE NEWS!
|
CBC found itself featured in a recent Warren Tribune newspaper article about the importance of wisely choosing a charity (especially with respect to the percentage of your contribution that ends up being used in actual service to clients). We're proud of the fact that about 90% of our donor funding finds its way into kids' classrooms! Read the entire article here - Choosing Charities
Earlier this fall, Jennifer Brindisi of the WFMJ Weekend Today Show taped footage of our TRAP class at the Rich Center for Autism in Youngstown, OH. This clip aired in early November. Thanks to Jennifer and WFMJ for their interest in our work! | WFMJ News Feature |

As we count down these final days until 2014, CreativeBridge Coalition is proud of the growth and accomplishments of the past year. We realize our success depends on the support of all of you, and, as always, remain grateful for your loyalty and generosity.
We invite you to continue along on our journey as we strive to bridge music and learning.
Wishing you all the joys of the season and every happiness throughout the coming year!
