The first seminar is "Steps to Homeownership" hosted on Wednesday, April 20, from 5:30 to 6:30pm at 1013 S 8th St., Manitowoc. Rahr-West Art Museum: Katherine de Shazer, Artist and Iconographer, will present "Icons And Iconography: The Revelation of the Spiritual Life", at the Rahr-West Art Museum, Tuesday, March 15, at 5:00pm. Learn what icons are and where they came from, understand how they reveal the spiritual life and how they are used in churches and private residences. The process of making an icon will be discussed along with demonstrations of the materials; icons will also be on display. Members are free and non-members are $5. Mishicot Dental will be hosting its 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 19! Our event has grown, so please note the location change this year. Lakeshore Technical College is offering ISO 9001: 2015 update seminars for businesses since the September 2015 major revision. The first seminar on April 1 offers an overview of the changes and the effects on your company and the second on April 15 covers tools for implementing the 2015 standard. Manitowoc County Kennel Club's (MCKC) next training session begins on March 22 and will run through May 3. First night orientation and registration is without dogs at the Club House Grounds at 40 Albert Dr., Manitowoc, beginning at 6:00 to 6:30pm. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Manitowoc County would like to congratulate our own Becky Wilhelm for being named Big Sister of the Year for the state of Wisconsin. Since Becky has been designated at the state Big Sister of the Year, she will now be a candidate for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Big Sister of the Year, an honor that will be announced and recognized later this year. Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors is looking for individuals willing to serve their community as Board members. The Board is comprised of individuals from Manitowoc County who are interested in assisting law enforcement and making Manitowoc County a safer community. Directors do not need any special training. The Board meets three times a year and oversees the Crime Stopper program. Manitowoc Public Library: Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag After-Hours Lock-In event is scheduled for Friday, March 18, starting at 6:00pm. PINK HEALS Manitowoc County WI: Adult Cancer Support Group and YOUth Matters Support Group meet Tuesday, March 15, at Holy Family Memorial (enter at the west entrance) at 6:30pm. The adult support group will discuss Financial Assistance followed by an open conversation. The group is open to women and men who are receiving treatment (no matter where you receive treatment), as well as survivors and caregivers.
