Holy Family Memorial: The medical staff at Holy Family Memorial is awarding four Medical/Dental Endowment Scholarships to area students to help them prepare for the challenges of healthcare in the future. Four area students will receive a $2,000 scholarship. The Friends of Citizen Rec Center is having an 80's themed skate party for adults-only on Saturday, April 18, from 7:00 to 10:00pm at Rollaire Skate Center, 930 N. 18th St., Manitowoc. Wisconsin Maritime Museum, 75 Maritime Dr., Manitowoc, is inviting Manitowoc-based businesses and others to attend an informational event for this summer's upcoming Sub Fest, a three-day festival celebrating Manitowoc as the "freshwater submarine capital of the world." This fun event will allow businesses to learn more about Sub Fest. The Sub Fest business launch party will be held at the Museum on Thursday, April 9, at 6:00 to 7:30pm. A short presentation will be given at 6:30pm, along with giveaways. Sub Fest will run July 10 to 12, and will include new submarine exhibits and immersive experiences.

University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc: Lakeshore Big Band will present "Water, Water, Everywhere," on Saturday, April 11. Manitowoc Public School District (MPSD): Today is the day to have your voice heard! The voting polls are open until 8:00pm. The MPSD referendum questions are on the ballot because $6.2 million reductions in state aid have resulted in deferred maintenance, obsolete technology, and delayed installation of safety and security measures. If all three questions are supported, it would cost taxpayers with property valued at $100,000 an additional $1.37 per week. Without financial support, state aid will continue to decline and additional budget cuts will be needed. Please vote today!
