Sears Appliance & Hardware Hosts Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting
Chuck Doute Sr., owner of Sears Appliance and Hardware, recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of their newly-reformatted store located at 700 E. Magnolia Ave., in the Lakeshore Mall, Manitowoc. Assisting Doute with the ribbon cutting are Chuck Doute Jr. (holding the scissors), Andrea Doute, The Chamber of Manitowoc County Executive Director Karen Szyman, Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels, members of The Chamber's Board of Directors and Chamber Ambassadors. This locally-owned store recently underwent a transformation from a Sears Hometown Store to a Sears Appliance and Hardware Store. The store is fully remodeled and now carries a largely expanded product selection. |

Jr. Leadership Manitowoc County Class Completes Program
The Jr. Leadership class of 2013 completed their program this week, with a graduation luncheon. High school Juniors from six area schools, spent one day a month, over the past eight months, touring and visiting local businesses and organizations to learn more about Manitowoc County and the great things going on in the community.

Stars of Manitowoc County: In Charge of the Customer Experience
This week, Jane Birkholz, Lakeshore Technical College, presented Stars of Manitowoc County: In Charge of the Customer Experience. This lively and engaging presentation heightened attendees' awareness of how to provide great customer service. They also discovered the things that enrich the quality of life in Manitowoc County, so that those leaving the program can really be the "Stars of Manitowoc County" when it comes to customer service.
