Dr. Richard Vest- Open Letter to Members
Dear Friends,
I am so grateful to be in a position to send this letter. It has been nine weeks since the Saturday morning bike ride that sent me plummeting down an embankment into a tree. The BDDS was so kind to send out word of my accident and the number of calls that ensued to offer assistance to my office were overwhelming. I would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Karen McCaffery, Dr. Matthew Litz, Dr. Roy Smith, Dr. Frank Melazzo and Dr. Jim Dobbs for so graciously providing their services. For the countless others that were so kind to offer their time, many thanks as well. The calls I received at my home and office to inquire of my progress were so touching, as were the incredibly compassionate cards that lifted my spirits at just the right moment. I am truly blessed to count all of you as valued friends, not just colleagues.
I am happy to say that I can see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel so to speak ....thankfully not the light I thought of when I crashed! I am practicing again and appreciate the referrals I have received. I have thankfully been released to perform surgical procedures. . It is wonderful to be able to work again.
Again, thank you all for your care and concern and your selfless acts of kindness.
