Speaker Meeting

Our speakers for May will include Dr. Michael Reddy and his address will be "The State of the School."

Dr. Steve Mitchell will also speak on a topic related to pediatric emergency office visits.

Dr. Carl E. Misch will be our speaker in Birmingham. More information to follow as details of the meeting location, etc., are confirmed. Dr. Misch's topic for the all-day CE meeting will be "Controversies in Implant Position and Number."

April 3rd CE Speaker Meeting

Dr. Richard A. Weems will be our guest speaker at our April 3rd meeting. Dr. Weems topics will be Dental identifications and Bite Mark Analysis. An update on weather-related deaths requiring dental identifications and a local homicide involving a bite mark made on the victim by the assailant will be discussed.

The Club Venue a success!!!

Our move last month was a great success. Over 50 attendees heard Dr. Bruce Spink, Schien and E4D vendors discuss the benefits of the CAD CAM device.

The food and service were both outstanding. For those of you that attended please come back on April 3rd to hear Dr. Weems and bring a colleague. You can register three ways, PayPal, email or call the BDDS office and reserve your spot.

Greer Mentor Program-Council on New Dentist

The Council on the New Dentist has been in charge of the Greer Mentor program in the past. It had gone by the wayside the past few years because of lack of interest from dental students but this year there has been some interest

The idea is that a dentist in the community volunteers to be a mentor for a dental student on a "keep in touch" type basis- no regularly scheduled meetings, but more like an email, give advice, helpful hints and/or come to the office if they want to shadow type of relationship. There are four (4) students interested so far and one who is specifically interested in orthodontics.
