Greetings!

It is with deep sorry that I inform you that  Dr. John Orr passed away Tuesday night, January 3rd.  He was married to Susan Louise Haberstroh on July 30, 1977. He attended the University of Alabama ('75), majored in Biology and Chemistry, and went on to dental ('79) and orthodontic school at UAB ('81). He had a thriving orthodontics practice in Fairfield, Alabama for 29 years, also working in offices in Tuscaloosa and Irondale. Surviving are his wife, Susan Orr, his three children, Elizabeth Orr Jones (Lee), Mary Orr, John Orr and his two sisters, Ginny Green (Mike) and Marie Toffel (Randy) and a large extended family.

The funeral will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Rd Pelham, AL 35124, at 12 p.m. Friday, January 6. Visitation begins at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to The Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse (2300 10th Court South Birmingham, AL 35205).
