After hearing about Dr. John Orr at our last monthly meeting, many of you have ask how he is doing.  I am pleased to tell you that John is receiving positive results from his treatments. He remains off work while he continues to recover.  Please keep Dr. Orr in your thoughts and prayers.  If you want, give him a call at home to chat with him.

November 1st Speaker Meeting-Dr. David Roden
Dr. Roden will be our guest speaker this month at our BDDS General Meeting.  The meeting will be at the Summit Club.  Social begins at 5:30pm.  Please register early by using PayPal, email our office with your reservation or call Richard Morgan at 205.933.1718.  We must have an accurate number of attendees for the Summit Club.  


 

CANCELLED Fall Golf Tournament
Our annual golf tournament was cancelled.  There were just not enough members signed up to justify reserving the course, vendor participation, etc. Dr. Todd has destroyed any checks he received so please void it in your check register.  Any PayPal payments have been reversed and credit issued.  You should have received an email confirming this from PayPal.  If you have any questions please email or call Richard Morgan at the BDDS office.

Our last printed "snail mail" Bulletin was May, 2011.  All Future communications will be delivered via email.  If you know of or talk to a colleague that does not receive our email, please encourage them update their contact information through the BDDS website, email our office or call BDDS at 933.1718. 

I encourage you to keep your contact information up-to-date at the ADA.  Both ALDA and the BDDS rely on that information.

If you are interested in helping people in a volunteer friendly atmosphere where your work is organized and facilitated, and the patients are screened, please let me know. We have several ways to participate:

2011 United Way Campaign   

Thank you for your contributions to the United Way Campaign.  As of this date Birmingham Dentists have pledged $24,000.  We are two-thirds of the way to our goal.  If you have not completed your pledge card, please take a moment and return it to the United Way.

If you did not receive a letter from Dr. Essig, call Richard Morgan at the BDDS office at 933-1718. This is a great way to support the community and Access to Care.
Access to Care
We still need your Access to Care numbers.  Please visit our website to enter your write offs.  Donated services equals what you billed less what you received in payments.  Write offs include insurance write downs, charge offs for non-payment and pure pro bono work.

 

You can enter your numbers anonymously at our website,
