Dear Friends and Colleagues

 

I am writing to inform you of some temporary changes in my life.  Last week, I was involved in an accident that resulted in severe burns to my body.  Many of you know that my hobby involves restoring old cars.  While welding, my clothing caught fire and I have been at UAB since Saturday May 7^th. 

 

I have been so fortunate to have had incredible care from the Burn Team at UAB.  We are so blessed to have this facility in our midst.  Due to my recovery and rehabilitation schedule, I have employed Dr Michael Vann to see my patients throughout the summer.  Dr. Vann recently completed the Pediatric Dental Program at UAB and is a Trussville native, as well as a prior patient.  We are excited to have him in our office working with my staff and taking care of all of our patient needs. 

 

I am overwhelmed at the outpouring of support that my family and I have felt from the Alabama Dental Community.  I have had phone calls, emails, cards, prayers, and visits from so many that I can never begin to list them all.  My faith in our profession and Dental Community has reached a whole new level.
