George Catlin's American Buffalo is taking a road trip! If the exhibition is coming to a town near you, please visit. If not, we hope you'll look inside the book instead, where you'll see Catlin's images of exciting buffalo hunts and meet the tribes who followed the buffalo across the prairies in the 1830s. And if you purchase a copy of the exhibition catalogue from our online bookstore we'll give you a free Treasures or Highlights book of your choice! Any book published in 2000, 2001 and 2003 is eligible. Please include the title of book that you would like in the special comments section when ordering.  

George Catlin's American Buffalo opened at the National Museum of Wildlife Art (NMWA) in Jackson Hole, WY in May. Additional tour venues for the exhibition are:

• Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Springs, CA (October 1, 2013-December 29, 2013)
• C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, MT (May 31, 2014-September 14, 2014)
• Mennello Museum of American Art in Orlando, FL (October 4, 2014-January 1, 2015)
• Reynolda House Museum of American Art in Winston Salem, NC (February 12, 2015-May 3, 2015)
