Rose Park Dressed for the Holidays

So you liked the pictures of Rose Park Homes lit for the holidays?

There are some fantastic decorations in our neighborhood and we hope that if you didn't get out to see them yet, you will bundle up and take a walk or drive around the neighborhood.

We didn't get them all (it's been very cold!) so send a photo for posting on Facebook.  Lots of people can't get out to see them so let them enjoy the photo!

Happy Holidays from RPNA to YOU Rose Park residents and friends!

send to Emily at  emilystevens916@gmail.com or Gretchen at info@rpna.org and we will post it.

Stewards of the Second District Awarded

Recently, Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal recognized 72 residents, businesses,

community groups and city staff as "Stewards of the Second District", because of their leadership and commitment to our community and the City of Long Beach. Among those being recognized were Stewards nominated by neighborhood and business associations in the Second District.

Such contributions are to be commended and shared with all Long Beach residents - and hopefully their stories will inspire the next generation of Stewards. Over the last six years, more than 400 Stewards have been recognized for their contributions in District 2.

3 incredible individuals were recognized at the Terrace Theater last night by Vice Mayor Suja Lowenthal for the imprint they've made in the 2nd District - Each received a Steward of the 2nd District award. Recipients were: Julie Bedard and Lisa Lopez of UPS who made E7th & Redondo and go-to stop in our neighborhood and Glen Mann, our very own and becoming increasingly famous urban guerrilla artist. Well deserved!
