Tell Your City Council What You Think About A Crematorium In Our Midst

RPNA and the E. 7th Street Improvement Committee have voiced their concern over the city permitting of a crematorium on 7th, just east of Rose Park Historic boundaries. We were successful in convincing the city to put a moratorium on this permit until its use can be evaluated. RPNA and the residents are concerned about the zoning use & permitting in and around our neighborhood.

I've been informed that a second hearing (to approve attorney/staff wording) of the proposed moratorium is on the Council agenda for Tonight April 2.  Councilman DeLong feels it's important that residents attend this meeting to speak in support of this moratorium as there has been some pushback from other Council members. At last week's meeting, the one year was reduced to 9 months
Please attend the council meeting tonight to show support of this moratorium on the incineration of remains in our neighborhood.
Show your support for our neighborhood having input on the uses that can be permitted in our neighborhood.
City Council Chambers tonight. The item will be heard at 6pm.
