Bike Paths in Rose Park

Rose Park and the Bike Paths of Long Beach

We all love Rose Park and certainly want to be included in the city's plans for bike paths.  Long Beach is well known for its bicycling community.  Bicycling through our beautiful neighborhood is not only healthy but fun!

The RPNA is hosting Allan Crawford from BikeLongBeach and Georgia Case who formulates bike paths and routes, at our meeting this month.

The meeting will be held at St. Matthews Church 672 Temple (Temple & E. 7th) February 7th at 6:00 pm. Classroom One.

The meeting will allow these presenters an opportunity to discuss present and future plans for biking in Rose Park including inclusion in the bike path map with points of interest along the way, fostering improved mobility and liveability in this area.

Residents are encouraged to attend and give input on this topic.

Please come to the meeting and learn what's next in Rose Park.

Unpermitted Businesses in Rose Park

City officials including the city attorney, LB Fire Dept. and the LBPD are working on the closure of any unpermitted business in the city including the marijuana dispensary at 10th and Stanley.

Reports and questions about illegal businesses in Rose Park can be directed to info@rpna.org if you prefer.

Residents are encouraged to report any complaints or illegal activity including loitering and drug sales by calling 911.

Closures of illegal businesses and police response is complaint driven.  Please help keep Rose Park safe and a healthy environment for all residents by reporting your concerns.

New Parents Group Forming

New Baby in the House?

Join the New Parents Group now forming in Rose Park.  Connect with other parents for activities in the park and around the neighborhood.  Get to know other new parents.

Community gatherings with people who are sharing your same experiences can be fulfilling and our neighborhood of lovely people is perfect for this.

RPNA has created an email address so this group can chat and communicate privately about their activities and interests.

If you are a new parent in Rose Park, join the group and connect up.  A first meeting is being planned so join now and don't miss any fun!

email newparents@rpna.org to join.

Like to Golf, Knit, Read, Quilt, Surf?

We're all busy but most of us have an interest or hobby.  It's fun to share your interest and meet new people.

The standard idea of a group isn't for everyone.  Why not make your own?  Form it any way you want.  Hold meetings or don't!  Get together for a drink or just email each other.

RPNA wants to help.  If you have an idea for a group, email info@rpna.org and we can help.

Knitting and Coffee

Either learning how to knit or just getting together with other knitters - please note there's a group that gets together every Monday at 7:30pm at Portfolio.

All are welcome.

Using Go Long Beach Phone App to Repair Your Curb
If you use a smart phone please consider downloading the free app Go Long Beach.

The city of Long Beach can respond to a curb repair GoLongBeach request if the damage is less than 5 feet in length.

This is great news for us!  Even if your street is not scheduled for complete repair you can have the deteriorating curb repaired.

There are several issues that can be reported to the city and the application sends them to the correct department.  Report graffitti, damaged sidewalks etc. easily and the response if incredible.

Graffitti is usually removed within 24 hours!

Thank you Long Beach!

email info@rpna.org is you need help with this app.
