Do You Stretch After Running or Walking?

If Not, You Should!

If you are like most runners (and walkers), you don't generally stretch after you do your workout...but you should. At Blue Hills Sports & Spine we regularly evaluate patients with issues in their legs, hips and back that could probably have been prevented with just some regular stretching. We aren't talking everyday either...stretching just a few times per week can have a big impact on maintaining mobility and helping to keep you out of our offices! We have put together a handout of some basic, active stretches that involve some easy yoga positions. Click here for the handout...give it a try.

Is It Time To Step Up Your Routine?

Do you regularly do a few crunches and a few planks as part of your routine? Are you ready to make your ab workouts a little more challenging? There are an almost infinite number of ways to progress a plank, but in order to help you out we have put together a handout that starts you off easy and gets more challenging. Click here for the handout and good luck getting through them all!

Golf Is In Mid-Season...

...Are You In Full Swing?
Golf is a sport that is played by people of all levels of fitness, from the elite pro athlete to the occasional weekend duffer. The one thing all golfers should have in common is a good warm up routine. It will help a pro hone their game and it will help that occasional golfer from wasting more shots than they need too. This month John Jones, MSPT has put together an article about the importance of a good golf warm up. Click here for the article.
