A recent study shows that being in this head flexed position can place up to 60 lbs of pressure on your neck...ouch! At Blue Hills Sports & Spine we regularly see people with neck pain that has been caused by chronically bad to help you avoid developing chronic neck pain, we have put together a simple program for you try. Click here for the program. Should you already be having problems, contact one of our offices for some expert treatment.

Tis the Season...
...For Shoveling!
Many of us have already had the first snow of the year and have had to break out the shovels. Not a long break between raking and shoveling this year! Every year we see patients that have sustained neck, shoulder and back muscle strains from shoveling and many of these could have been prevented with a proper warm up and some preventive stretching. We have put together a simple stretching program for your to run through before and after shoveling (click here). Hopefully this keeps you healthy this winter season.
