Our Patient Satisfaction and Clinical Outcomes...

doctors-clipboard.jpg

We Take Pride in What We Do.

If you have been to one of our offices, you have been asked to fill out a survey on a tablet. In addition to being a health history questionnaire, the survey is also allowing us to track the outcomes of our patients. The system we use is called FOTO (Focus on Patient Outcomes) and there are 1000's of other PT clinics across the country that also use it...and we get to compare how we do against them. At Blue Hills Sports & Spine we work hard to incorporate proven, evidence based treatments in combination with offering a welcoming, patient-centric environment...and our FOTO outcomes measurement shows that it works. We are sharing a snap shot of our results from the past year. For overall patient outcomes, we stack up well within the 90th percentile of all participating clinics in the nation. For our overall patient satisfaction scores, we are routinely in the high 90's...and these surveys are filled out by the patient and directly reported to the database. Maybe That Tendinitis Isn't Really Tendinitis...

Having The Right Diagnosis Really Changes The Treatment!
In the rehabilitation world, there are a number of diagnoses that can lumped into a "catch all" term...tendinitis is one of those terms. Quite frequently we see patients with this diagnosis, but it really doesn't accurately describe what is going on. Instead the patient has tendinosis...and if you don't know the difference, the treatment you provide just won't be effective. To read more about the differences between tendinosis and tendinitis, click here. If you are having issues related to tendinitis or tendinosis, contact one of clinical team at Blue Hills Sports & Spine.
Evidence Based Treatment....

...Changing The Way Soft Tissue Injuries Are Treated.

At Blue Hills Sports & Spine Rehabilitation, we work to incorporate evidence based treatments to help speed recovery and get the best results. One technique we utilize is the Graston Technique®, which is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. Originally developed by athletes, Graston Technique® is used by more than 20,000 clinicians worldwide - and every clinician on the Blue Hills team has been trained in this approach. This is really effective with tough to treat conditions like plantar fascia pain, lateral epicondyle pain, iliotibial band pain and patella tendon pain. Click here to learn more about Graston Technique® or, ask one of the staff at Blue Hills Sports & Spine.
