Getting That Afternoon Energy Crash At Work?

Instead of reaching for that energy drink, get up and stretch!
If you are like most people today, a large portion of your workday is spent in a chair, working at a computer. It's not uncommon to get that afternoon energy crash. A quick "pick me up" of a sugary caffeinated drink can help you for a little while, but how healthy is that for you? One sure fire way to wake yourself up and help undo all the muscle tightness that has set in from a long day at the office, is to take 5 minutes and go through a quick stretching program. We have put together a simple PDF version that you can save to your desktop as a reminder. Click here for the file. Give it a try, it will be much better for you than that energy drink!
Our Gluteal Muscles...

...not just for sitting on!

No matter what we call our gluteal area, many of us rarely give these important muscles a second thought until they are sore from sitting too long, or it is swimsuit season, and then we focus on their form rather than on their function. Our gluteal muscles have several functions besides forming a seat cushion, and if these muscles are weak we open ourselves up to a myriad of problems. It is surprising how many people can't get up from a low chair without help...this is where your gluteal muscles really come in to play. So, with all the sitting that we do each day-driving, working at a desk, eating, reading or watching TV-how can we keep these muscles strong? Doing some type of simple, regular exercise can go a long way. We have put together something that can get you going in the right direction. If you find that even these simple exercises are too difficult to perform, it might be time to visit us to help get you back in shape again. Click here for our gluteal strengthening program.
