A few suggestions for making this a banner year:  Join us for the Nonprofit Impact Study Session on Feb. 4, and learn how to use important data from local and statewide nonprofit studies to boost your advocacy and fundraising efforts. Join a NAMC committee to put your skills and enthusiasm to work for the benefit of the entire nonprofit community. For that matter, just join! Nonprofit Impact Study Session on Feb. 4

How to use results of local and state-wide studies to strengthen your advocacy and fundraising

In 2014, NAMC released a new study of Nonprofits' economic and social impact on Monterey County. Around the same time, the California Association of Nonprofits did a state-wide study of nonprofit economic impact. Both studies contain interesting and important information. Join us for this hands-on study session, facilitated by NAMC and CalNonprofits representatives, to learn about key features of both reports and ways to use this information to strengthen advocacy and fundraising for your agency.

When: Wednesday, February 4, 2015  2-4 PM
Where: Hartnell  College Steinbeck Hall
Fees: $20 for NAMC members; $30 for non-members
Includes a copy of CalNonprofits Causes Count and all materials.

The Offset Project is looking for help at this year's 2015 AT&T Pro Am, which runs, Feb 9th-15th. The Offset Project is looking for help with our environmental services at the 2015 AT&T Pro Am. We are looking for a group interested in overseeing the Monterey Peninsula Country Club Course. 


 
Management of the MPCC course includes the need for one course captain and between 6-10 stewards/day over the course of the week. The course captain and all stewards will be paid an hourly wage. This commitment is a great fundraising opportunity and a great opportunity for groups with golfing enthusiasts, as the course captain will be will be on the green during the entirety of the event. The Salinas Police Activities League (PAL) has a large number of cubicle units, metal shelving and office stuff that we wanted to DONATE to any non-profit within Monterey county who would like it. Applications are now being accepted for this facilitated group, a unique opportunity for peer support and confidential learning. The group will be geared toward those with three or more years of nonprofit executive director experience and will meet monthly from February through November 2015 (skips July). The sessions will be facilitated by Karen Csejtey, Executive Director of Leadership Monterey Peninsula.
