harlemGateway Center Harlem Ambassadors Rematch

May 10 in Pacific Grove

Gateway Center has invited the Harlem Ambassadors back for a rematch of our basketball game fundraising show from last year.  This year things will be a little different as we will punk the Harlem Ambassadors and our players will come out in crazy get-ups!  Last year they threw out Nerf Football, WWF, soccer, disco and everything else at us so this year we decided to have some fun with them. Click here for flier.

We are incorporating our shoe fundraising drive into this event as well.  For every pair of shoes donated at the game the donor will receive 1 FREE raffle ticket for some really fun local prizes.

Please help us spread the word about this family oriented fundraising game.  Last year we laughed the entire game at all of the silliness that went on.  All of Gateway's players really got into being a part of the show. The Harlem Ambassadors will bring back their important message for kids to stay in school and stay off of drugs.

Thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you at the game.

Regards,

Melissa Walchli

unempUnemployment Insurance Resource for Nonprofits

I wanted to share with you some information from our unemployment TPA, Woody Clark.  He has been a tremendous help to Easter Seals Central California as we navigate through the bureaucracy that is unemployment.  I have attached Woody's business card as well as a brochure from the Non-Profit Unemployment Fund (NU).  The NU Fund also helps keep its members' unemployment expenses low by offering expert claims management services, a dedicated HR Hotline, unlimited representation at State unemployment hearings, quarterly audits, continuing education programs, and a member-owned Reserve Account.

If you are interested, please contact Woody directly - or if you have questions about our experience, please contact my Vice President of Human Resources, June Stockbridge at jstockbridge@es-cc.org.  If you do contact Woody, please do me a favor and let him know that Easter Seals Central California sent you!

Thank you!
