Coffee and Rolls Contest
School is out and summer is here! For some, this means a few months of keeping your own kids busy, helping with the grandchildren, or inspiring children through Vacation Bible School. Whatever it may be, many of us are looking for creative ways to strengthen our youth's relationship with Jesus. For this coffee and rolls contest, send us one idea you have that will work to incorporate Jesus into your child's summer. One example may be talking about the wondrous nature God created while taking the kids on a hike. Be creative and have fun with this and we will share some of our favorites in next month's edition!

In the meantime, we hope you are enjoying the sunshine as much as we are here at the Foundation.  May God continue to bless you and your work!

Anita, Jackie and Marci
Annual Conference
The Nebraska United Methodist Foundation sent Anita Crisp, Executive Director, and Jackie Urkoski, Director of Operations, to the Annual Conference held last week in Topeka, Kansas.  Anita and Jackie kept busy at the booth as people stopped by to just say hi or to talk more in depth about the Foundation's services. Many appointments were set up with churches to have the Foundation present on a wide array of topics from investment services to endowment funds to stewardship.  The Foundation also scheduled a few appointments to speak on planned gifts and how every individual is truly able to leave a legacy with his or her church.

Outside of enjoying time visiting with new and old friends at the booth, the Foundation also kept busy with other activities.
Anita Crisp and Alan Herndon of the Kansas Area United Methodist Foundation jointly presented to the youth attending the United Methodist Men's 100 Club annual dinner and auction event.  After the presentation, the Nebraska Foundation was honored to receive an award for a $1,000 sponsorship of the event. During the Friday morning session, Anita and Alan presented together again and highlighted some of the work each Foundation had done in the previous year. Concluding this presentation, Anita and Alan presented Bishop Jones with a framed stamp collection as a farewell gift. The collection highlighted the Bishop's life by including stamps ranging from images of his favorite hobbies and pastimes and to places he has travelled. The collection also included several stamps from his own father's collection.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support. We were busy at the booth and loved every minute of it. If you did not get a chance to visit with us at Annual Conference but would still like to, please don't hesitate to call the Foundation toll-free at 877-495-5545 or stop by and see us at our office in Lincoln (directions here).
