Our Campers Need You!
Faith.  Friendship.  Leadership.  Worship.  Play.  Community.  Laughter.  Prayer.  Creation.  Growth.  Love.  Fun.

These are the words parents use to describe their experiences at Camps Comeca, Fontanelle, and Norwesca as children and youth.  These parents are sending their own children to our camps today....giving them a strong foundation in their faith to stand on.

We are so happy to report that our efforts to support our camps in honor of our 50th Anniversary Celebration continues to go well.  We are so incredibly grateful for all of kids-holding-hands.jpg the participation to this point.  We currently have raised $38,550 that will create an endowment for the camps, in other words, a permanent stream of income.  Will you help us reach our goal of $50,000?  Our campers need you!  Can you imagine a world where church camps did not exist?  Can you imagine the void taking the place of all of those inspired through their church camp experience as a child or young adult?  In the words of one young camper, "I have found God in the rain, sunshine and rainbows."  Won't you help us create a sustainable stream of income to help support our camps for years to come?

Happy Harvest!
Farmers know how to plant, nurture and grow a seed. We are thankful for these corn-hay.jpg faithful servants who put in so many hours to create sustainability for their families and for consumers around the world. Here at the Foundation, we try to create sustainability as well, but for our Nebraska churches and ministries. Have you considered making a gift of grain through the Foundation to support your local church or ministry?  If so, here are a few things to know:

The farmer can exclude the sale of the cash crop from income and deduct the cost of growing the crop. There is no deduction for a charitable contribution. In other words, the farmer cannot sell the grain and order the proceeds to be sent to the charity. This would result in the transaction being considered a cash sale and cash donation since the farmer has not given up control of the property.

Steps to take to make your gift:
1. Contact the Foundation to let us know you would like to make a gift of grain and to which fund (such as your local church's fund or your donor-advised fund) you would like the gift to be designated to.
2. Farmer delivers grain to the elevator.
3. Farmer asks elevator to transfer X number of bushels to the Foundation.
4. The Foundation will authorize the sale and collect the proceeds from the commodity minus any subsequent ownership costs such as storage.
5. Farmer includes production expenses on tax return (in year paid) but not the sale of the gifted bushels.

It's that easy! Please let us know if you have any questions by calling us at 877-495-5545.  Happy Harvest!
