The Foundation currently has scholarship applications available online for seminary students.  We are pleased to be able to administer these scholarships on behalf of the generous donors who have made these opportunities possible. The deadline is June 30.

If you know of a seminary student from Nebraska, please forward this information on to him or her.  We appreciate your help in spreading the word!

Productive Time at Annual Conference

The Nebraska United Methodist Foundation sent Anita

Anita in action at the booth.
Crisp, Executive Director, and Jackie Urkoski, Director of Operations, to the Annual Conference held last week, in Wichita, Kansas.  Anita and Jackie kept busy at the booth as people stopped by to sign up for a chance to win a gift basket full of Nebraska goodies such as Baker's chocolates, Valentino's marinara sauce and Larry the Cable Guy's potato chips. The first 130 people to stop by the booth received a free gift bag complete with bottled water, a breakfast bar, and several other items.

Jackie Urkoski reflects on the week, "One of my favorite parts of this job is when we get to put faces to the people we have gotten to know through phone or email conversations. I really enjoy talking with everyone who stops by the booth. It is a joy to get to know the people who make this Conference tick."

The Foundation was honored to receive an award from the United Methodist Men's 100 Club at their annual dinner and auction on Wednesday night. The Foundation hosted a cookie and coffee break Friday afternoon in honor of its 50th Anniversary.  In addition to these things, Anita Crisp stayed busy giving a joint presentation with the Kansas Area United Methodist Foundation to a campus ministry group, as well as giving a presentation during the Friday afternoon session which summed up the work of the Foundation this past year.

Support Our Camps!
The Foundation would like to encourage you to support our Nebraska United Methodist Camps.  In honor of our 50th Anniversary celebration, we have embarked on a journey to raise $50,000 to establish an endowment fund to support Nebraska camps. This will give the camps a sustainable stream of income for years to come.  Please help us reach this goal and consider donating to this cause.  Every gift, large or small, counts.  To give online, click here. Or feel free to mail in a donation to: NUMF 100 W. Fletcher Ave., Ste 100, Lincoln, NE  68521.

Thank you for supporting your camps and the Foundation's efforts!
