Heartland members, you raised a total of $17,271 just before the clock hit midnight, which combined with our anonymous donor's matching gift, brings our year-end challenge total to a whopping $27,271!

Save the date! Our 2016 ˇFarm Fiesta! Gala is April 23, 2016 at the Madison Concourse Hotel. Tickets will be available on our website at the end of February. With animal guests, a VIP margarita bar and mariachi music, this will be a fiesta you won't want to miss!

Heartland's Winter Camp: Animal care, games, sledding and more!

Now that the snow and cold have arrived, it really is starting to feel like winter at Heartland's Winter Camp! We're so thankful for our fun (and hearty!) winter campers, who arrive at the barn every week ready to help with barn chores and animal care (and of course play some games and do a bit of sledding, too!)

Dine with Monty's in February and support Heartland!

During the month of February, Monty's Blue Plate Diner will feature a special vegetarian/vegan menu. Make sure to ask for it during your February visit, as 10% of the proceeds from items ordered from this menu will benefit Heartland! What better excuse to treat yourself (and a friend!) to dinner?
Animal Spotlight: Thunder the Rooster
Handsome Thunder arrived at Heartland back in September of 2012. His previous owner had mistook him for a hen, and he needed to find a new home fast. He is easily our biggest rooster in the barn, and is best friends with our smallest rooster, Fonzie. It's very sweet and funny to see these two hanging out together. Thunder can be a little shy when it comes to people, but otherwise he's feisty and full of gusto. Thunder enjoys immediately knocking over his feeder in the morning, and then scratching and pecking around for all of his spilled food. 

Gala volunteers needed!
Our 6th Annual Gala (and biggest fundraiser of the year) is coming up on Saturday, April 23rd at the Concourse Hotel.  This year's theme is ˇFarm Fiesta!

We are looking for volunteers to help make this year's event the best one yet. If you're interested in helping with our silent auction, setup, cleanup, or even providing assistance during the event, please email Jamie with your interests and availability. Thank you!
